• Prevents "Tile Creep": Without clips, cut tiles in the valley can shift or slide down over time due to thermal expansion, vibrations, or wind movement.
• Maintains Water Path: By locking cut tiles in place, clips ensure the valley remains unobstructed, preventing water from backing up and overflowing into your roof cavity.
• AS 2050 Compliance: Australian Standards explicitly require that cut tiles in a valley be mechanically fastened. Relying on mortar alone is not compliant and is a primary cause of roof failure.
• Storm Protection: In high-wind events, unclipped tiles are prone to lifting. Valley clips provide the necessary structural tension to keep your roof system watertight.
