Rob spent 35 years as a HIA carpenter, managing everything from complex residential renovations to the structural restoration of a 50-bedroom heritage complex in Strathmore. His career was defined by an uncompromising approach to building standards.

Rob retired from full-time site work ten years ago, but he remains an integral part of our process. He serves as our technical advisor on a casual basis, providing an objective set of eyes on our more complex projects.

By reviewing our findings and structural assessments, Rob ensures that our solutions are grounded in decades of practical experience. He helps us maintain the standard of work we demand for our clients, providing the oversight that turns a standard repair into a lasting solution.

Joel is the Main Roofer at JSIU Roofing. He started in the construction industry back in 2006, working alongside his father, a fully qualified carpenter. Under his father’s guidance, Joel built a solid foundation of structural skills and a deep respect for quality tradesmanship—and he hasn’t stopped working in the building industry since.

Over the years, Joel has focused heavily on mastering his trade, accumulating extensive qualifications to cover every single aspect of your roof.

• VBA/BPC Licensed & Registered Roof Plumber: Fully qualified for all compliant roof plumbing, drainage, flashings, and gutter installations.
• Registered Roof Tiler: Certified for structural tile repairs, re-bedding, and flexible repointing.
• Domestic Builder's License: Completing his builders registration this year.
• Certified Roof Construction Waterproofer: Holds a Certificate III in Waterproofing and Roof Carpentry structural repairs.
• Construction & Safety Diplomas: Multiple Diplomas in Construction Management and Work Health & Safety (WHS).

Sandra has been helping JSIU Roofing run smoothly behind the scenes since the very beginning. She holds a Certificate IV in Business Management and has been working full-time in office administration, customer service, and job scheduling since 2010. In 2019, she brought those years of experience directly into our family business to manage our daily operations.

What Sandra Does For Our Customers:

• Organises the Schedule: She coordinates our calendar to ensure our roof plumbers are booked in and arrive on time, especially when an emergency make-safe or urgent leak repair is needed.
• Manages the Paperwork (Via Email): To ensure a clear, reliable company paper trail, Sandra handles all of our communication, customer files, digital invoices, and inspection reports strictly via email. This ensures everything regarding your job is documented perfectly and available for quick reference.
• Customer Support: She answers your questions, replies to your inquiries, and keeps you fully updated from your initial contact until the job is completely finished.

Every subcontractor we use must meet the standard trade and legal requirements before stepping onto a job site:

• VBA Licensed & Registered: All of our contract tradespeople hold current registrations with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) for their specific trade.
• Code Compliant: They are qualified to carry out roof ventilation installations and roof repairs according to Australian Standards, including AS 3500.3 (Plumbing and Drainage) and AS 2050 (Roof Tiling).
• Fully Insured: Every contractor carries active Public Liability insurance and WorkCover protection to ensure the job site is covered.
• Safety Compliant: All workers hold mandatory Construction Induction cards (White Cards) and follow basic workplace health and safety (WHS) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) guidelines.
